01 / Overview

Fix the substrate, protect the finish

Cracks, spalling, joint damage and surface defects don’t just look bad — they compromise every layer you put on top. Coatings fail, tiles crack and moisture finds its way through.

Apex Floor Preparation addresses substrate defects before they become finish failures. We assess the damage, recommend the right repair method and restore the concrete to a sound, stable surface ready for your floor covering or coating system.

Common issues we repair

  • Structural and shrinkage cracks
  • Spalling and delamination
  • Failed joints and joint edges
  • Pop-outs and surface defects
  • Impact damage
  • Honeycombing and voids

02 / Methods

Our remediation services

02.1

Crack repair

Epoxy injection for structural cracks, routing and filling for surface cracks, and flexible fillers for movement joints. We match the repair method to the crack type and expected movement.

02.2

Joint stabilisation

Repair of damaged joint edges with epoxy mortars, resurfacing of spalled joints, and rebuilding of control and expansion joints to restore load transfer and stop further deterioration.

02.3

Surface patching

Polymer-modified repair mortars for spalls, pop-outs and localised damage. Feather-edge to full-depth repairs, colour-matched where required for exposed concrete finishes.

02.4

Slab repair

Full-depth repairs for severely damaged areas: removal of deteriorated concrete, reinforcement treatment and replacement with engineered repair materials to restore structural integrity.

02.5

Void filling

Injection of flowable grouts and resins to fill voids beneath slabs and within the concrete. Eliminates hollow spots and restores support under trafficking loads.

03 / Diagnosis

What we see, and what we do.

We assess the damage first, then match the repair to the defect and the movement expected.
